As a provider of Disability Employment Network
(DEN) services Community Employment
Options Inc offers a range of supports and
assistance designed to meet your individual
needs, including:
• professional recruitment advice
• on the job or off site support to ensure new
employees with disability settle into their job
• help with job design
• help to develop job descriptions
• training information and awareness raising
activities for you and for co-workers
• provision of on the job training and support to
employees with disability
• access to work experience placements that will
meet the cost of work-related insurance
• job in jeopardy assistance (if an employee’s
job is at risk due to issues related to
their disability)
• intermittent support.
Help and assistance is provided at no cost to employers who are looking to employ a job seeker registered with a Disability Employment Network member.
Job in jeopardy assistance
Job in jeopardy assistance can provide you and your employee with immediate support and assistance to ensure that your employee maintains their job if it is at risk as a result of issues related to their disability. Job in jeopardy provides funding for assistance with job design, job restructure and workplace adjustment.
Intermittent support
If you have an employee with disability who is placed with your organisation through the Disability Employment Network, you may be eligible to receive intermittent support from that service. Intermittent support provides very short term support and assistance to employees while in the workplace.
Access to financial help and wages
Disability Employment Network members can
also help employers by facilitating access to
financial help and wages for employing people
with disability, including:
• Auslan interpreting and co-worker training
• Australian Apprenticeships and incentives
for employers
• Supported Wage System
• Wage subsidies
• Work experience programmes
• Workplace modifications and adjustments
